About Jada

Jada Swanson is a communicator at heart whose passion is to clearly and creatively teach God’s Word. She is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church  and serves  on pastoral staff of Timberlake Church. In addition to pastoring, Jada is a worship leader, conference speaker, spiritual director, retreat facilitator and writer (Check out more of her writing at The Park Forum.) Jada desires to help others create space to connect faith and the sacred ordinary of everyday life in order to deepen their relationship with God and to share His love with others.

Although Jada wears several hats, her favorite and most important ones are those she wears at home. She’s been married to her life partner, Jon, for 20 years. Together, they navigate the adventures of parenting their two kids: Jadon (16) and Jamison (15). The Swanson Family enjoys road trips and around the world excursions, exploring and learning about other cultures (especially the food!), attending musical and theatrical productions, and creating memories together of their perfectly-imperfect life.

If you listen closely, you can tell that Jada was born and raised in the Deep South. But she was swept off her feet by her husband, a Washingtonian, and for many years the Pacific Northwest has been their home. Jada considers herself to be a lifelong learner, and she enjoys reading, cooking, and consuming large cups of coffee while engaging in deep conversation with friends. She would love to connect with you, too, at Facebook or Pinterest.

  2. Hi Jada!! Congrats on your blog! Am I late to the party? I hope it’s a huge success. I can’t wait to start making some of your recipes. I too love to cook when I’m not playing the piano.
