June is bustin’ out all over!
Yesterday, our fridge went out. Today, we kicked off our son’s Birthday Week, a tradition instituted by my husband that our entire family absolutely adores! Later this month, the kids’ public school classes wind up, along with my music studio lessons. And, then, we hit the road on vacation! PRAISE THE LORD!
I don’t think there has ever been a time that I’ve been more ready for vacation. Actually, we all are. The last six months have been a roller coaster ride for our family, and it’s not over yet. We’re taking each day as it comes. But we’re looking forward to summertime, sunshine, and a new season. It was fun to spend a bit of time this evening discussing our trip to Montana to see Jon’s folks, and planning a few surprises along the way!
As well, I’ve discovered there is a good thing about a fridge going out: reorganization. I know, I know. That just sounds sick and wrong, but it’s how I’m wired. I love organization, lists, strategy and structure. Plus, I discovered a few things in the freezer that need to be used up. It’s a good thing that it’s grilling season because we’re gonna be firing up our grill this month!
