Coming soon to Food. Fun. Family. –VLOGS or Video Blogs. I have been asked by several folks to post pictures of the various steps of cooking a specific recipe, or photos of various ingredients. So, I asked my amazingly, wonderful husband about the possibility of posting a video blog, he said we have the capabilities to do this! YEA! So excited about this new venture.
Most likely, the VLOGS will only post a couple of times a month. However, I hope you enjoy them!
In the meantime, here is a recipe that I really love making. It’s from a family who ‘adopted’ me as one of their own when I was in college. You can read about this amazing family HERE. Hope you try it and enjoy!
Mrs. Janet’s Maple Pecan Pie
1 pie crust, baked
1 can of Eagle Brand Milk (Sweetened Condensed Milk)
2/3 cup of real maple syrup
1 cup of chopped pecans
1 cup of whipped cream
Combine milk and syrup in sauce pan over low heat for about 10 minutes or until it comes to a boil. Add 1/2 cup of pecans into mixture. Pour into baked pie shell. Allow it to cool completely. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of chopped pecans. Top with whipped cream, spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining chopped pecans.
This is one of my most favorite desserts ever!
